Web Master’s Voice

There is always a feeling of sublime lethargy after every major conference. It was more so after ANCIPS 2012 since we all felt as if a marriage in our family just got over rather than an impersonal conference. This feeling of oneness, of belonging to a family was the success of ANCIPS 2012. Having handled the registration of almost every major medical conference that has happened at Le Meridien, I can vouch for the fact that ANCIPS 2012 was one of a kind. A conference where team work was absolute, a conference conducted on the trust and camaraderie of a few, who headed the committee. Congratulations and I am thankful for the opportunity to be considered a part of this family.

God is in details. This is the mantra I preach and practice. The success of ANCIPS 2012 was also largely due to the meticulous attention to details that was given by everyone concerned, especially by Dr. M. Chandrasekharan Nair and Dr.C.J John.

The very design on the delegate badge, every banner, memento and signage was that of a flag. A flag that is ceremoniously hoisted before every festival in all Kerala temples and churches.  The design was inspired and ANCIPS 2012 was indeed a grand festival. So were the pictures on every backdrop, evoking nostalgia and ringing in the future at the same time. I understand that the very theme of ANCIPS 2012, “From mysteries to molecules” was also coined by Dr. M. Chandrasekharan Nair.

It seems there were only 5 calls for clarification during the entire conference regarding the CME sessions and its related matters. No wonder, since Dr.John had a tight leash on the proceedings and kept updating the website almost every day prior to the conference, even with the smallest of changes resulting in an information portal that was complete in every aspect.

I am sure Dr. P. Joseph Varghese, with his incomparable diligent scrutiny of everything financial, made sleep easy for Dr.Kuruvilla.

Then there are others, I am sure, those I have not interacted with, who contributed in their own way to the harmonious success of ANCIPS 2012.

Dr. Kuruvilla Thomas was the perfect Head of the House, never denying any one anything. “If it can be done, let us do it” seemed to be his mantra. It is little wonder then, that no one had any graveness while at the conference.

I thank everyone who worked with me to make the registration and monitoring process a highlight of this conference.

I did get a few good acquaintances when I was in charge of the registration of ANCIPS 2000 and with ANCIPS 2012; I got some good friends to keep.

Thank you.
