The IPS confers various awards every year. These are the:

• DLN Murti Rao Oration Award
• Marfatia Award
• Col Kirpal Singh Award for Military / Industrial Psychiatry
• Bhagwat Award
• Bombay Psychiatric Society Silver Jubilee Award
• Poona Psychiatrists Association Awards I & II
• Tilak Venkoba Rao Oration Award
• Young Psychiatrist Award

The presenting author of a paper submitted for any award should be a member of IPS/ WPA/IAPA/ BIPA (Delegates who are not members of IPS shall be required to produce a copy of their Certificate of Membership). The author must have registered as a delegate and must have no dues pending towards the Society.

Four copies of the full paper competing for an award must be submitted by post to:
