Dear all,

Happy to share that the 64th annual conference of IPS ANCIPS-2012 was a grand success. The registration counters were all hassle free. The scientific sessions were on time and the halls were full of participants. There was sufficient time provided for discussions. Contents of the scientific deliberations were superb and matching any international meeting. The social programs in the evening were sober and there was no rush or queue at the food counters. Every one enjoyed the evenings. We can say that this conference was a model. Thanks to the Organizing Committee ANCIPS-2012 for great hospitality and Hearty Congratulations  to Dr Kuruvilla  Thomas the Organizing Secretary for organizing a wonderful Conference in Cochin.

Long Live IPS !!

Garg

Yes, I agree with Dr UC Garg that ANCIPS 2012 was a grand success and was unique in many ways. The organizers were personally involved and were there to monitor every activity with smile on their faces. They were not only cooperative, flexible but also full of warmth. Hearty congratulations to Dr Kuruvilla, Dr Joseph , Dr John and Dr Roy.

Dear seniors & colleagues

This is my 3 ANCIPS, definetely improving & well organized.
From academic & research point more people participated. Some points which need attention are
1) posters, free papers & to some extent award papers were poorly attended. May be because of timing & venues, both of which were peripheral or lateral. Most postgraduates & junior facult were dissapointed. It was felt that getting a certificate was the only reason.

Hope the organizers headed by Dr Jagadish will consider this. My suggestion will be to have paper presentation in tandem with the theme presentation in the main hall.

With warm regards

To organize an event of this magnitude requires diligence, teamwork and thoughtfulness…all of which were in evidence at Kochi.
The most important aspect of any conference is the scientific component. Dr CJ John has set a precedent by meticulously planning it, ensuring time discipline and more than anything else, addressing all the issues and requests in his own inimitable, amiable way. The gesture to hand over participating certificates for those who presented papers and posters during the session itself was a welcome one.
I join the rest in congratulating the whole team for a job well done and worthy of emulation.

Congrats to OC for the smooth and enjoyable Ancips 2012. Had a whale of time.

Dr Sanjay Barot

Dear Kuruvilla Thomas and CJ John
Belated “Hearty Congratulations” to both of you and your core team for the excellent manner in which you conducted the recently concluded ANCIPS 2012. Thank you very much for all your tireless efforts and meticulous attention to every detail.
The organising secretary in his inimitable, quite, dignified and professional way was ever present everywhere but invisible! CJ John’s obsessive time keeping of all scientific sessions was largely successful and resulted in almost clockwork precision. It is worth emulation by every future organizers of scientific sessions. The timer on the screen indeed helped presenters and chairpersons to stick to time, in no small measure. Availability of the evolving programme of scientific sessions at the conference website from quite an early date (and its periodic updating) was invaluable. The registration process was easy, efficient and quick. The various concurrent sessions were fairly well attended. On the whole, participation in this conference generated a positive experience.
Than you very much, once again
Warm regards
Mohan Isaac

Dear Dr John
Thank you for all the excellent arrangements you have made for the scientific sessions. The preview was an added addition
and  very practical. The food could have been more of a kerala type which even all the other state participants felt. Altogether it was quite an academic and entertainment feat  .
Thank you

Resp. and Dear Dr John

Let me congratulate you for a very precise report of the Scientific program. Having been responsible for organizing many scientific programs of conferences myself I do understand it is a big problem when authors of submitted and accepted papers do not turn up at the conference without informing. I am of the opinion that the author( s ) must take the responsibility of atleast informing even by email their non availability and the reason for the same.

I was wondering if putting a ban for such no shows – to submit papers in the next conference – may help make us all more responsible.

Regards

Sandip

Dear Dr.John,
First let me congratulate you & your team for an Excellent Conference.
Yes! I fully agree with your perception & feelings about the current situation. I dont think it is right to expect the Organising Committee to act as a simple medium (Event Manager)
I sincerely hope we can come around with  a solution ….. The OC needs to be given some autonomy to avoid ‘Last Minute Proposals/Changes’…
